Portico analytics on game pages.
You are playing a game that a brand runs on Portico Play. The brand is responsible for your data in the game, and its own privacy notice explains that. This notice is about one extra thing: if you allow it, Portico measures how its games are used, so it can make them better. For this measurement only, Portico is the controller.
1. Who we are
Luminbrane AB, org. no. 559523-4245, VAT SE559523424501, Stockholm, Sweden, trading as Portico Play (“Portico”, “we”). Contact: [email protected].
2. Only with your yes
- Nothing in this notice happens unless you choose Portico analytics in the game’s banner, or the brand’s own cookie tool passes that choice on.
- It is a separate choice from the brand’s analytics and from marketing. You can say yes to one and no to the others.
- Saying no changes nothing in your game, your score or your prize.
- Some brands switch Portico analytics off entirely (“essentials only”). Then no Portico tag loads at all.
3. What we measure
We use Google Analytics 4, loaded through Google Tag Manager, with Google Consent Mode set to “denied” until you say yes.
| We collect | We do not collect |
|---|---|
| Which game and campaign you played, and steps such as start, finish, share | Your name, email, phone or player id |
| Pages viewed in the game, time on page | What you typed into forms |
| Browser, device type, screen size, language | Your exact location |
| Approximate location (country, region), derived by Google from your IP address | Your IP address: GA4 does not log or store it |
A random id kept in the _ga cookies | Advertising ids. Google Signals and ad personalisation are switched off |
Before an event is sent, Portico’s code strips anything that could identify you.
4. Why, and our legal basis
We measure to learn which games, screens and steps work, so we can improve the product for all brands. The legal basis is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), and your consent for storing the _ga cookies (Lag (2022:482) om elektronisk kommunikation, chapter 9, section 28).
We do not use this data to target you with ads, to profile you, or to make any decision about you. We do not share it with the brand in a way that identifies you.
5. Cookies
| Name | Purpose | Lasts |
|---|---|---|
_ga | A random id that tells one browser from another | 13 months |
_ga_<container-id> | Keeps the state of the current session | 13 months |
When the game is embedded on a brand’s website, these cookies are partitioned to that site: they cannot follow you to other sites. The cookie policy lists everything a game page may store.
6. Who receives the data
Google Ireland Ltd processes the data for us as our processor, under Google’s data processing terms. Google may transfer data to Google LLC in the US, under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and the EU standard contractual clauses.
7. How long we keep it
- GA4 event data: [14] months, then Google deletes it.
- Cookies: 13 months, or until you withdraw consent or clear them.
- Reports made from it contain only totals.
8. Change your mind
Open Privacy & cookies at the bottom of the game and switch “Portico analytics” off. We then tell Google that analytics is denied and delete the _ga cookies we can reach. If the brand uses its own cookie tool, change your choice there.
9. Your rights
You can ask for access, erasure, restriction or objection, and you can withdraw consent at any time. Because we hold only a random id, we may not be able to find your data unless you give us the _ga value from your browser. Write to [email protected].
You may complain to Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten (IMY), Box 8114, 104 20 Stockholm, imy.se, or to the data protection authority where you live.
10. Changes
We update this notice when the measurement changes and show the date at the top. If the change matters, the banner asks you again.
